1. Inventory commercially important pages
Assign each page one primary buyer-question set and one owner. Separate source pages from supporting articles.
2. Freeze the baseline
Record readiness, representative prompts, engine, date, run count, citation behavior, and competitors surfaced.
3. Ship a controlled change
Target one high-impact gap. Preserve the original passage and document the publication date.
4. Retest on a fixed cadence
Run the same protocol after engines have had time to discover the change. Do not silently substitute easier questions.
5. Report four states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Consistently cited | Appeared across repeated searched runs. |
| Sometimes cited | Appeared intermittently. |
| Absent | Search occurred but the page or brand did not appear. |
| No search / unavailable | The cell cannot support a normal absence claim. |
